Window Pain!

A unique picture taken last spring from Grandmas house looking toward our house.
At that time, the house was already vacant; but
the memories that are evoked when looking at this picture are kind of painful!

It is a neat picture - I have one on the other side of the house looking out Grandma's kitchen window (the kitchen window where she usually had the inside panes open and little plants in the window) - good post Mom!

It reminds me of memories I have of the house I grew up in. After my mother died I stood in that empty house and stared out her kitchen window for a long long time knowing it would be the last time I ever had the opportunity before the new owners moved in. I wish I had taken a pictures. Although your memories are bittersweet, it's good that you still have them.

Kinda bittersweet.
When my MIL passed away last year I took many pictures while we were packing and cleaning out. It's almost time to see the house move on to another family and it's those pictures that will speak to us along with our happy memories for years to come. :o(

What a picture...can you imagine how many times A and C looked out that window to see the activities of the grandkids and visitors that were coming over to see them? Very powerful picture.
