A Bad Day for Many!

My heart goes out to the many, many people that were involved in the earthquakes in Japan and the Tsunami resulting from the earthquake.  The news releases we are watching on tv are so terrible, that I can't even imagine how family members can find all their relatives.  No power there, and it will be a long, long time before some of the utilites will be functioning again there.
I will gladly take snow storms, rain, and tornados any day!  We can all plan for those types of storms.  I think that if I knew I lived on an earthquake fault, I'd sure as h___ move!
We had three exhange girls from Japan stay with us; two in the 1980's and one in 1993.  Hope they are all okey.  I wish I could find out if they're all okey.  Praying is all I can do right now.

Scary..I was on the computer last night when the news flash came over..I just knew my brother was there..he was.. his plane was on final approach when the earthquake hit, their landing into Tokyo was aborted ..he is safe in Korea, but don't know when he will get back stateside. I am so thankful he is ok:)

I agree that it is horrific and almost beyond comprehension. Our older daughter taught in Japan for a couple of years about 7 years ago. She was living two hours from the quake area. Praying is big help to them but we plan to also find a reputable agency to give a donation - - someone like Red Cross or Salvation Army.

I am sure all our prayers are going out for all these poor poor people...we feel so helpless in situations such as this don't we. I do know that I heard from the World Vision Charity only hours after the disaster informing me that they were already on site collecting information so as how best to help...I am not one who usually gives to a disaster fund having heard of so much going to waste or in payments...however I do feel that World Vision do appear to be always in the front line. God Bless them all.
Love Sybil xx

So very sad to watch the images on tv. John's best friend from childhood and his wife are in Hawaii and we cannot get in touch with them. They renewed their wedding vows for their 25th anniv.

Hope you have a nice day and I pray your friends in Japan are safe. Keep us posted.
